Review: It is no secret that we are fans of Ewan the Dream Sheep in this house. Lydia is a Ewan addict, needing her entire collection to sleep at night.
The most recent addition to our flock is a grey Ewan, which is functionally the same as the classic Ewan but with a soft grey face & legs instead of purple.
Ewan plays different sound effects depending on which leg you squeeze – Lydia’s favourite is the harp music and she is great at giving Ewan a cuddle, activating the right leg in a half awake state, and drifting back off to sleep. The other sounds are rainfall, womb noises, and vacuum cleaner – all of which are remarkably soothing to listen to.
The fairly new grey colour range is great, as I know a lot of parents of baby boys shy away from purple. He would look great in a monochrome room too which is very on trend – if not our personal style! He is really cute and Lydia adores him, which is the important thing.
While the sound effects play, Ewan emits a soft rosy glow too, which is very relaxing. He has a few switch controls hidden inside his belly that give some control over the light & the sound volume. To turn Ewan off, you just hold down the clicker button inside one of his legs for a few seconds. His tail works as a velcro loop making it easy to hang Ewan from a cot rail or pushchair strap.
Ewan is our number one recommended baby item – I tell all my pregnant friends that he is a must have! This cute grey version is an excellent addition to the range, and gets 5 stars from us.
